Family Foundation General Assembly Of Virginia And Social Media Account

In early January, The Family Foundation of Virginia contracted me for the fifth consecutive year, as part of my government relations practice, to lobby on its behalf at the General Assembly of Virginia. The session is about a third of the way through its 60 day “long session” and all the bills I am advancing for the Family Foundation of Virginia are still alive, while none of the bills on my “kill” list have come up. In addition, interested parties (including legislators) contacted me and/or I researched a few other bills that the Family Foundation has added to its overall bill profile. Consequently, those bills were assigned to me as well.

In addition, and perhaps most importantly, The Family Foundation and I have agreed to a new and more extensive contract to write/edit and administer its blog, FamilyFoundationBlog.com, as well as an expanded role in implementing its social media plan. As usual, more details on the project’s on-going success to follow. The General Assembly is a consuming endeavor!
